Would your business like to be part of the largest event to come to Newmilns in years?

Newmilns Regeneration Association (NRA) is launching the second Newmilns Food Festival on the 9th September 2017 and we're looking for sponsorship to help us make the event go with a swing. Last years Food Festival was a resounding success. We had around:

The Festival was covered in local papers and social media and attended by local councillors and East Ayshire Chief Executive, Fiona Lees.

Newmilns Food Festival will be a showcase of all the best the Irvine Valley and Ayshire has to offer in food and drink. We're expecting around 4,500 visitors to come along again this year to Jamieson Park. The site is on the busy A71 so passing trade will drop in too- all of which means, as a sponsor, your name or brand will receive wide exposure.

 NFF in the Paper

  • At the Festival there will be a series of demonstrations and talks by noted local producers, chefs, and other food supporters; a covered marketplace where suppliers can showcase and sell their goods and visitor catering.
  • We will also be running a children’s and young people’s cookery competition in partnership with local schools with the prizes given out at the end of the Festival. This is to encourage young people and parents to attend. All of these can be sponsored as can the whole event itself.
  • We will be listing the event with a number of destination websites, including Visit Scotland, Scotland Food & Drink and local tourism supporters AND running a full publicity campaign across media in the West of Scotland as well as promoting the event through our own website and Facebook page. We are going to be making quite a splash about the event to attract those from nearby, and those from further afield. That means your business’s name will be seen far and wide too.

Should you sponsor, your business name, and the part you are playing in the Food Festival, will be fully acknowledged in the programme and all other publicity material (web, printed material, publicity, etc.) with links to your website. Depending on your sponsorship level, we’ll include some or all of the following:

  • Branding on Stewards, volunteers and helpers’ T shirts. Rolling sponsorship listing on the demonstration screens. Bespoke publicity campaign into your industry’s trade press. Your branding on the item you have sponsored. Advertising banners on display at the site.
  • In addition, a substantial A5 programme will be printed which will contain producer listings, demonstration descriptions, recipes, event timetable etc. Depending on your level of sponsorship, a free advert in the programme will be given.

There are other advantages to sponsoring too:

  • As we’re a charity, sponsoring us can be fully tax deductible if you’re a sole trader or a partnership. Slightly different rules apply for limited companies: here donations (money, goods & equipment) and sponsorship payments can be offset against Corporation Tax. See charity/overview or ask your accountant about the impact sponsoring could make on your bottom line.
  • And, if you tender to the public sector, supporting us can help you meet the Community Benefit Clauses found in most public sector contracts. We’re a charity, we’re local, we’re involving young people and we’re running an event for the benefit of the wider community – that ticks a whole lot of Community Benefit boxes.
  • You can choose what level of sponsorship suits your business: sponsorship opportunities start from just £120, rising to £12,000.

Naturally, you might have more questions – if you do, please call or email us and we’ll be glad to speak to you about the Festival and the part you can play. The key sponsorship contact is:

Shirley Wallace, e-mail

We also want to thank our Sponsors and Advertisers again from last year who helped make the first Newmilnd Food Festival a resounding success! For a list of the sponsors from last year, click here.

If you choose not to sponsor, you might like to advertise in the programme, at the Festival site or through one of the other advertising packages we have available – prices start from just £35.00 for a quarter page black and white advert in the Programme. A full media pack will be distributed shortly but of you want to book a prime place – inside front cover, inside back cover or outside back cover – act now to reserve your space.

We’d enjoy partnering with you to help you help us make Newmilns Food Festival a success, so don’t miss the opportunity – contact us today to tell us what your business would like to sponsor or to find out more.

Yours sincerely,

Shirley Wallace
